YOU are the first line of defense on your computer – be aware of what you click on, where you go, and what you do.
BE AWARE!
The importance of user diligence can not be over stated! Virus protection is not automatically issued when a when a new virus or malware is released. The software developers need a little time to develop detection and safe removal, and to get the updates out to users. Keep all software up to date and make sure you scan your machines and devices on a regular basis.
In the course of technical support we frequently are asked what software we use or recommend for keeping computers at home or at work safe. Most of these tools have both free and paid versions.
WHY PAY IF THEY ARE FREE?
There is no free lunch my friend! It is a really good idea to pay for software that works even if a free version is offered! Your payment supports the developers to continue to provide a quality product! We (CompanyV) are not affiliates or resellers of any products listed here – we simply know they work.
The following products are not always recommended to run simultaneously!
I have them all installed on my machine but other than AVG, which is my primary anti-virus program I select a time to update and run the others for full scans on separate nights.
