PING:
In Windows, select Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
Or type cmd in the little search programs and files box above the start menu
This will give you a window like the one below.
type: ping *domainname.xxx
and hit enter. (replace “domainname.xxx” with the domain name of the server you are trying to access.)
After it stops right-click and select the Select All option. That places the information on your clip board – just right click and paste into an email reply. This shows the speed of connection from you to our server. If it fails there are other problems.
TRACEROUTE:
Next Enter tracert domainname.xxx
and hit enter. (replace “domainname.xxx” with the domain name of the server you are trying to access.)
